- My name is Valerie Griffin but don't be surprised if you hear me referred to as Ali, it is my life-long nickname. With a husband and three children, my family brings me more joy than I could ever express in words. Upon closer inspection of my home, you will soon discover that butterflies are one of my favourite things. I feel that butterflies are symbolic of so much that I value about life....transformation, growth, freedom and journeys.
