- My name is Valerie Griffin but don't be surprised if you hear me referred to as Ali, it is my life-long nickname. With a husband of 9 years and three children, my family brings me more joy than I could ever express in words. Upon closer inspection of my home, you will soon discover that butterflies are one of my favourite things. I feel that butterflies are symbolic of so much that I value about life....transformation, growth, freedom and journeys. This is why I chose to name my child care "Val's Butterfly Garden", because transformation, growth and freedom have so much to do with the journey of childhood and we carry that with us throughout our lives. Like my motto says "Children Grow Here!" because your child has so many opportunities to blossom in my care. And now a new hobbie. Val is baking!
